Get ready to be the sweatiest you’ve ever been – getting lost in the music, Jell-o legs but can’t wait to come back for more.
HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR PHILOSOPHY ABOUT BEING FIT AND HEALTHY:
I walked into the gym for the first time 10 years ago at age 14 as a scrawny, uncoordinated, hockey player and fell in love with training. Hockey has come & gone but fitness has been a pillar of who I am since that first day in the squat rack. I am so grateful for my experiences training as a competitive athlete because it taught me to train for performance, to improve how the body functions, not just how it looks. This is the message I try to bring to my classes everyday. Focus on how we feel when we treat our bodies right and be proud what our bodies can do. Fitness & health is not one size fits all, it is not one look, it is not type of work out or sport. It is an attitude. It is about how you treat yourself both mentally and physically.
#1: The Members – I have worked at/attended countless different gyms, different studios, different cities and there is truly something unique about the people who walk through Hive’s doors. They want to connect, they are eager, they are dedicated. They get excited (may as much as me?!) when they see improvement. And they love/encourage their fellow members as much as we do, that is the BEST part.
#2: The Instructors/staff – These women at Hive are some of the most genuine people I have ever met. I truly feel as thought I am part of a team. We all have each others backs, we laugh, we (sometimes) cry. These chicks inspire me to be a better instructor every time a clip in/jump on a row or mat.
#3: BREEEEEE – When the boss has put their whole heart into a space, it is contagious. Every person that walks through the door is welcomed & that is a reflection of our amazing tribe leader. SO grateful for our queen B.
